Apartment's Description & Amenities
By now the idea that Soho and London's West End is the fun area of town and Chelsea is the serious and posh one is simply a long-dead stereotype. But there is something to be said for the way that Chelsea's gems often lie hidden beneath a stately and sober exterior. This lovely apartment is a case in point: behind an elegant 19th-century facade, steps from London's swanky Kings Road, is a home away from home that serves up contemporary style with a generous side of sophistication.

Exploring Chelsea

Kings Road, with its eclectic mix of shops is the main artery. Wander down to Sloane Square, home of designer boutiques and visit the Saatchi art gallery. The beautiful town hall with its lovely painted ceilings hosts antique fairs running the gamut from museum quality to vintage.
Peter Jones on Sloane Square is the one-stop shop for home wares, while Fulham Road offers all types of interior design boutiques. Charming Walton Street has many quintessentially British independant shops, and Brompton Cross is the place to find fashion design heaven.
Harrods draws tourists and locals alike for its beautiful interiors and amazing food hall. Of course, this is the world famous store for finding absolutely anything that you can think of! Don't miss the Room of Luxury and the Egyptian Hall. For all of the key fashion designers under one roof, head to Harvey Nichols, with a stop at the Fifth Floor for a refueling after a good shopping session!
For more laid-back activities, summer or winter, The Phene has a wonderful garden area. The Hollywood Arms in the heart of Fulham Beach is a great place to spend a relaxed Chelsea afternoon. Chelsea Physic Garden is a peaceful place to while away some time, as is the beautiful and historic Brompton Cemetery.
Throughout Chelsea there is a huge range of restaurant options, where you can eat extravagantly or cheaply, from world reknowned chef Gordon Ramsay's place to the Stockpot where homemade food won't cost more than L10.
